Turn of the century brooche of playful monkeys.
The gold and silver brooch is set with 63 rose cut diamonds, 35 rubies, 6 turquoises, one sapphire and two pearls.
French hallmarks for combined alloy objects after 1829.
This type of novelty brooch was popular just before the turn of the century.
This is an exceptional well made example of the crazy monkey brooch.
