Silver and enamel box

Spectacular box, silver and enamel. Set with an orange red Tourmaline.
This box has been made in a technique that is quite unique. The basis is a minute hand engraving that most likely is inspired by fabric designs of the Art Nouveau period, filled with over five different colours of enamel paint.
Based on the technique and the craftsmanship that has gone into this (cigarette) box it was probably made in India around 1900. Some slight chips.
