Dutch Art Deco tea set

Exceptional handmade hammered silver tea set, comprising a teapot with hinged cover and Calamander wood handle, a sugar bowl and cover and Calamander wood handles, a milk jug and Calamander wood handle, and a waste bowl; together with a matching tray, The tray 16 x 13 inch (41,5x32,5 cm.) wide, 67oz. gross weight All pieces are signed Begeer, van Kempen en Vos. Through a merger these three companies worked together between 1919 and 1925 however the order in which these names are grouped is very unusual. (normal is van Kempen Begeer & Vos). This makes it likely that this set was manufactured early on in the cooperation. Because the set bears no Dutch hallmarks it was most likely produced in Germany. (No second set of this design is known).
