1940s Movado triple calendar moonphase steel-gold (20 Mikron) celestograph. The watch is in excellent, close to mint condition. 

Movado was one of the most prestigious and innovative of high-grade Swiss watch houses during the "Golden Age" of fine Swiss watchmaking from the early 20th century to the late 1960's. Vintage Movado watches from this period are superbly crafted and highly collectible timepieces! Movado has a rich history of producing calendar complications, including the "Calendoscope, Calendette, Calendomatic, Calendolux, Calendoplan," and this classic 1940's model, the "Calendograph." According to Fritz von Osterhausen ("The Movado History," p. 126), "these models are among the most collectable and nostalgic watches ever produced by Movado."
