Exceptional pendant by the Dutch gold and silversmith Jan Noyons Utrecht (6 July 1918 – Aldaar, 8 December 1982). The pendant is a good example of modern design from the 1970s. Unusual for this period is the use of gold (which was considered elitist at the time). In addition to 18 carat gold, the pendant is made of sterling silver and set with 15 cabochon cut tourmalines, an oval green tourmaline of approximately 10 ct. and 14 round tourmalines with a estimated combined weight of 7 ct.
