Modernist ring by the Danish jewellery designer Uwe Helmut Moltke. His studio in Humlebæk was active from 1974 to 2003. This ring with its strong symmetry and architectural character is representative of his work, which is always bold, graphic and fun. The gold and silversmiths of the 1970s preferred to use silver for their jewellery, as gold was seen as elitist. That makes this 14 karat yellow gold ring particularly rare and an interesting acquisition for any jewellery collector of this period.
The impressive ring is set with a 20 CT emerald cut Smoke Quartz.
Ring size 17.5 mm (cross section), 55 (circumference), US size 7¼, GB size O½
