Large Antique Pearl and Diamond ring

Large impressive Vintage diamond and pearl engagement ring.
The old mine and rose cut diamonds are set in Platinum and the drilled akoya pearls are strung on a gold rod that is hold by claws in between the pearls. This unusual construction and the thick layer of Platinum used to set the rose cut diamonds indicates that this is an early, possibly pre 1900 jewel. The beautiful Akoya pearls have a 5 mm cross section, the two Old mine cut diamonds have a J/white colour and an excellent (VS) clarity. Adding the 28 rose cut diamonds of similar quality the estimated total diamond weight comes to over 1 carat.
