Gold necklace with images of landscapes and people in Swiss enamel.

Swiss enamel, also called Geneva enamel, consists generally in painted plaques depicting people in traditional regional Swiss clothing.

These plaques were mainly incorporated in, also with enamel decorated, jewellery and boxes. The earrings feature three decorated drops (the classic Girandole form).

Hallmarked with the Dutch stamp as used between 1817 and 1830 in the Southern Netherlands for small imported objects. The set is in excellent condition (especially considering its age).

Necklace length 42 cm.
